LEWISTON – Leonard C. Angers, 74, of Tampa Street, passed away Monday, Feb. 7, at his home after a long illness.
He was born in Lewiston, on July 28, 1930, the son of Lucien and Marie Ann (Sirois) Angers and attended local schools.
He was employed at the Hill Mill during ’40s and ’50s, and for the past 30 years at Philips Elmet, retiring in 1995, and also working part time as a CNA at Central Maine Medical Center.
He enjoyed music, wood carving, camping, friends and family.
He was a member of the Auburn Rifle Club and Streaked Mountain Wood Carvers.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years Jackie (Maynard) Angers of Lewiston; daughters, Claire Angers of Oregon, Colette McNinch of New Hampshire; son, Charles Angers of Lewiston; sister, Rita Angers of Lewiston; brother, Normand Angers of Lewiston; and three grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his parents, and a sister Anita LaRochelle.
