STRONG – The Healthy Community Coalition invites the public to an informal meeting to discuss Boys and Girls Club opportunities for Franklin County. The meeting will be held from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 17, at the Forster Memorial Building.

Recommendations by the approximately 50 people who attended a meeting in January will be reviewed, and discussion will focus on what programs should be offered, where programs should be held, transportation issues and whether the Boys and Girls Club model is appropriate and feasible in Greater Franklin County.

The goal of the Boys and Girls Club is to create a safe place for children to learn, to be physically active and to develop relationships with caring adult professionals.
