A new Bruce Springsteen album is coming out April 26. It’s called “Devils & Dust” and is produced by Brendan O’Brien, who also helmed 2002’s “The Rising.” The new album will be a scaled-down effort, recorded without the E Street Band and featuring O’Brien on bass and Steve Jordan, who produced Patty Scialfa’s “23rd Street Lullaby,” on drums.
Springsteen plans an acoustic tour of theaters, either solo or with a small band.
OH, SAY CAN YOU SEE … ALANIS?
It’s official – Alanis Morissette is an American citizen.
At a ceremony last week, the rocker took an oath with 4,500 others and was sworn in at the Los Angeles Convention Center. When the national anthem was about to be performed, the singer’s emotions almost overtook her. “I wanted to walk up to one of the officials to ask if I could sing it.”
Yet the native Canadian made it clear she’s not turning her back on that country: “I will never renounce my Canadian citizenship – I consider myself a Canadian-American.”
