DURHAM – Androscoggin Deputy Sheriff Robert True was kept busy at midday Monday with two accidents and three vehicles off the road during a snowstorm. No injuries were reported.
The first accident took place shortly before noon on Route 125 when Clifton H. Larrabee Jr., 30, of Durham lost control of his pickup truck when he was unable to slow down enough for a slow-moving vehicle in front of him. He swerved to the right, veered off the road and struck a stone wall, Deputy True said, causing $2,500 damage to the 2003 GMC.
At 12:20 p.m. on Rabbit Road, vehicles driven by Brian Hussey, 22, of New Gloucester and Thaddeus Kloss, 18, of Durham collided head-on. Hussey’s 1999 Hyundai was demolished and damage was set at $3,000 to Kloss’ 1994 Oldsmobile.
Deputy True also responded to reports of two cars off the Road in separate incidents on Route 125 and another slid off the road at Quaker Meetinghouse and Old Brunswick roads.
