What is going on in our state capital? We have a Legislature that thinks a legal referendum is a public opinion poll. The governor says he hears the people’s message, and then passes his defeated education funding proposal over a citizens’ duly passed initiative.

The Legislature claims it passed tax reform in this session. I want state officials to explain to all the people why their property taxes are going up.

State government is such a smoke-and-mirror show that the state’s bond rating could be going in a negative direction.

It’s no wonder why people don’t vote anymore. They see that the state government is going to do what it wants even though that means voters’ wishes are pushed aside.
