NEWRY – Michelle Ann Waterhouse, 18, of Bethel, died Saturday, Feb. 26, as a result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

The world was blessed with her birth on Aug. 25, 1986, in Houston, Texas. In 1987, she and her family moved to Bethel. She attended Telstar High School and worked as a waitress at the Jordan Grand Hotel at Sunday River.

She loved art. Since the first grade she had been involved with Explorations Art Program and won a scholastic Merit award. She loved animals and her three puppies, Arisen, Gabriel and Rajha.

She is survived by her mother, Pamela Hawkins and her companion, Jim Johndrow, of Bethel; her father, Erland Waterhouse and his companion, Sue Paul, of Dixfield; a sister and best friend, Amanda Jo Waterhouse and her companion, Joseph Marshall, of Bethel; her boyfriend, Lewis Bryce of Bethel; grandparents, Joe and Joan Hawkins of Katy, Texas, and Lawrence and Erlene Waterhouse of Bethel; great-grandmother, Bessie Hawkins of Vienna, West Virginia; an aunt, Rachel Young of Houston, Texas; an uncle, Ernest Waterhouse and his wife, Rolande, of Bethel; cousins, Christopher Young of Houston, Texas, and Melissa and Kayla Waterhouse, both of Bethel; as well as many other relatives; several great-aunts and uncles; and many, many friends.

She was predeceased by two uncles, Joey Hawkins and Steven Hawkins.
