BRUNSWICK – Mr. Normand J. Rodrigue, 64, of Durham, died Sunday morning, Feb. 27, at the MidCoast Senior Health Care Facility with his family by his side.

Normand was born in Waterville, May 19, 1940, the son of Wilfred and Malvina Bourgoin Rodrigue. He was educated in Waterville schools, and graduated from Waterville High School with the class of 1958. On June 29, 1968, he married Annie Page, where together they made their home in Durham.

He was employed all his career at Bath Iron Works where for 17 years he worked as Assistant Foreman as Electrician. He retired from BIW in 1995, after thirty years of service.

Normand served his country well as a corporal in the United States Marines, from 1958 through 1962.

He attended St. Jude’s Catholic Church in Freeport, and enjoyed the time he and his wife spent dancing with the Country Side Dancers in Lewiston. Other interest included camping, his love for dogs, riding his three wheeler with his daughter Vicky and the countless hours he so loved playing with his grandson Kyle. His greatest pleasure in life however, was the time he spent with his family and friends. He will be sadly missed, but always remembered as a loving and devoted husband, father, brother, and grandfather.

He is survived by his wife Annie of Durham; one daughter, Vicky and her husband, Wesley Brydon, of Lewiston; his grandson, Kyle Haney of Lewiston; three brothers, Donald of Winslow, Raymond of Fairfield, and Roland of Oakland.

He was predeceased by one brother Robert A. Rodrigue.
