LISBON FALLS – Rosalie Gilbert, 95, while a resident at Mid Coast Senior Health Center, died peacefully on Friday, Feb. 25, with her family by her side. Rosalie was a longtime resident of Lewiston.
She was born in Augusta, Sept, 9, 1909, the daughter of Theophile and Kathryn (Lajoie) Lavertu.
Once retired, she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially the grandchildren. She also enjoyed Beano, jigsaw puzzles, knitting and cooking.
She is survived by her daughter, Joanne (Gilbert) Lerette and her husband, Tom, of Lisbon Falls; five grandchildren, Kevin, Angel, Rob, Sherry and Joshua; seven great-grandchildren; and one sister, Theresa Lachapelle of Westbrook.
