OXFORD – Two drivers escaped injury Wednesday night when their pickups collided on Route 26, Sgt. Gary Hill of the Oxford County Sheriff’s Office said.
Hollis Micklon, 26, of 50 East Main St. in Paris was turning from Skeetfield Road into the northbound lane of Route 26 and Sharon Gendreau, 34, of Southwest Harbor was driving south on Route 26 when they collided at 6:10 p.m., he said.
Both were wearing seat belts and neither was hurt, he said.
Micklon’s 1989 Ford and Gendreau’s 1998 Chevrolet sustained extensive damage.
Assisting Hill was off-duty Maine State Police Sgt. Don Shead.
