LEWISTON – Faelene Joy Hanscome, 64, of Gray, died March 3, at Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston.

She was born in Lewiston, on Oct. 21, 1940, the daughter of Hollis and Methyl Jordan Tripp. She married Edward Wallace Hanscome Sr., on April 13, 1965 in Freeport.

She enjoyed being a housewife. She also enjoyed her granddaughters, playing bingo, and family gatherings. She prided herself on having a perfect driving record for more than 50 years.

She is survived by her husband of Gray; two sons, Edward Jr., of Auburn, and Steven and his fiancee, Joyce, of Raymond; a daughter, Julie Riley and her husband, Rick, of Gray; two granddaughters, Ashley and Tammy; and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by a sister, Jolene Micklon in 2002.
