The Maine Art Education Association along with the Maine Education Association will celebrate Youth Art Month.
The Maine Education Association will host an opening in the Augusta office on Mar. 13, Sun. 1 – 3 p.m. and at the Portland Museum of Art on Mar. 18, Fri. 5:30 – 8 p.m.
Works of student art were selected by their teachers and framed by the Maine Education Association. This exhibit will be on display until the fall of 2005.
In the Augusta office, Lewiston Middle School will be represented by Christina Zahn for her clay relief and Anna Smedley for her self portrait.
Two works of art will represent Lewiston Middle School at the Portland Museum of Art – Leah Fournier with her sun mosaic and a self portrait by Sierra.
The art teachers involved are Kay Allison and Kate Cargile.
