MANASSAS, Va. – Yvonne B. Raymond, 96, of Manassas, Virginia, formerly of Lewiston, died Sunday, March 6, at Prince William Hospital following a short illness.

She was born in Lewiston, March 11, 1908, the daughter of Charles and Josephine Landry Gendron. She was educated in local schools and was married to Maurice A. Raymond, who predeceased her Feb. 6, 1977.

She was a member of Saints Peter and Paul Church, Ladies of Ste. Anne Sodality and the Lewiston Senior Citizens. She enjoyed crocheting as well as creating beaded Christmas ornaments. She had an independent spirit and was self-sufficient until very recently.

She is survived by a daughter, Therese Dott of Virginia; two sons, Richard M. Raymond and his wife, Ann, of California, and Lionel A. Raymond and his wife, Sharon, of Virginia; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; a sister, Elise Paradis of Lewiston; and a brother, Arthur Gendron of Lewiston.
