Sgt. David Wellington of Lisbon, a 1998 graduate of Lisbon High School and a 2002 graduate of St. Joseph’s College in Standish, was promoted to sergeant on Dec. 4, 2004, in the U.S. Army.
Wellington was one of three honor graduates at the primary leadership development course at Fort Hood, Texas. He also received the leadership award for his promotion class.
Wellington will deploy to Iraq on April 5 with the 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 2nd Infantry Division out of Fort Carson, Colo.
