Dear Sun Spots: The High Street Congregational Church will hold its sixth annual Fabric and Craft Supply Fair from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, April 16

(This fair is for the supplies, not the finished products).

Crafter may rent tables for $10 to sell the supplies they bought but never used. Or, they they may donate their supplies to the church to be sold at the church’s table.

Fabric donations may be brought to the church between March 21 and April 7.

We appreciate all donations, but we do need time to sort and organize all that we receive.

This year we are adding to our fair.

In a separate room we will hold a yard sale. Round tables, six feet diameter) will be available to rent for $10 each. Individuals may bring their own yard sale items to sell. The church WILL NOT have a table in this room. We will not be accepting items for the yard sale.

For more information phone Judy McKinney at (207) 753-0367. Please be sure to leave a name and phone number on the answer machine. Look for our ad in the yard sale section the week ending April 16. Thank you. – Judy McKinney, Auburn.

Dear Sun Spots: I was discussing the Hardy, Wolf and Downing TV commercials at work the other day. It seems that there are different lawyers at times. Can you tell me who they are? – No Name, Farmington.

Answer: According to the law office of Hardy, Wolf and Downing, the attorneys play their own parts in their commercials. Their most current commercial being shown on television opens with a boxer and trainer in a boxing ring, these both are actors, however the three lawyers in the closing scene are attorneys William Hardy, Shelden Tepler and Michael Welch. Attorney Tom Downing was also in a scene from a past commercial. For more information about these attorneys and attorney Fredda Wolf, visit their Web site at www.hardywolf.com/html/about.html.

Dear Sun Spots: Could you please find out for me, the following:

What is the address and telephone number for The Curtain Factory that is advertised on television? I know it’s in Saco. Also, does it send out catalogues or fliers? I know people who would love to have one. Since Ames went out of business it’s impossible to find a decent pair of drapes! Thanks for any help. – No Name, No Town.

Answer: The Curtain Factory Outlet (286-9261) is at 345 North Street in Saco. Unfortunately they don’t send out fliers or catalogues.

To get there, take the Maine Turnpike to Exit 36 (formerly Exit 5). Then take the first exit (Industrial Park Road). Go left at the traffic lights. Take a right at the next light onto Route 112. The Curtain Factory Outlet is a quarter of a mile down on the right-hand side. It is open from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday and from noon to 5 p.m. Sundays.

Dear Sun Spots: Thank you for all the good you do and all the help you provide.

I need some help, please. I belong to a club called Club W, associated with St Mary’s Hospital. We are a free club for women offering many programs to interest them. We are working on a program called It’s Great To Be A Girl that we will have on March 19 at Lepage Conference Center for girls (kindergarten to fifth grade) and a woman in their life. It will be a fun-filled evening with lots of activities. A fairy princess will meet the little girls giving them a crown and then the evening begins with arts and crafts, avacado masks, dress up, Karaoke, belly dancing, pictures.

The cost is $35. Part of the evening is dress-up and while we have collected some clothing, we are still in need of certain articles. We need boas, bride gowns, prom dresses, and finally, costumes from dance classes. If anyone would like to help call me at (207) 353-7119 and I will arrange to pick up what they are willing to donate. Again, thanks for all the information you give and all the education you provide. – Joanne Giard, Lisbon.
