Lewiston High School’s Center Stage Ensemble will be presenting Jim Jacobs and Warren Casey’s “Grease.” This popular high school play is directed by Richard Martin with Vocal Direction by Darren Avery and with the producer being Marissa Jalbert. Although “Grease” might be considered a stereotypical play, it cannot be challenged as a classic play with great music and dancing. Besides a very gifted cast, there is also a team of very talented and dedicated community members to join the production team. Lacy Michaud is working as choreographer, Jeremy Hale as Musical Director, Doreen Traynor as costumes with seamstress Loretta Perry and assistant Rachel Spilecki, Susan Jalbert and Mary-Ann MacDonald are the props masters. Light and Set design will be lead by Richard Martin with assistance from Donald Jalbert, Jack MacDonald, Stan Spilecki, and students. Sound will be designed by Darren Avery with assistance from John Nelson. Marissa Jalbert will be the stage manager assisted by Jessica Hunt. Production crew includes Carter Handy, Elisabeth Messer, Devon Dickey, Vicky Colby, and Emily Morin.

The classic couple: Danny and Sandy will be played by Brandon Dubois and Marina MacDonald. You couldn’t have “Grease” without the Pink Ladies, played by Kim Ouellette as Jan, Katie Lauze as Marty, Jenna Berry as Rizzo, and Michelle Fortier as Frenchy, all bringing energy and vocal support. The T-Birds have a strong sound and a lively presence on stage. Brandon will be joined by many CSE veterans; Jeremy Gervais will be portraying the role of Doody, Peter McArthur as Roger, Tyson Morgan as Kenickie, and Matt Powell as Sonny. There are also the nerds: Patty Simcox will be played by Ashley Couture, and Eugene Florczyk by Eric Carvalho. Of course there is also the famous dance scene with Chris Hodgkin playing Johnny Casino, and Cha- Cha DiGregorio will be played by Danielle Lavoie. Michael Litchfield will be guest appearing as the Teen Angel of Frenchy. Jeanie Giroux of the Lewiston High School staff will be playing Miss Lynch. And last, but definitely not least, the chorus members include Ashley McWhorter, Caitlin Rider, Shawn Sabourin, and Kevin Sevit.

The performance will take place at Lewiston Middle School on Central Avenue. Tickets are $8 for adults and $5 for students.

Shows are March 17 and 18 at 8 p.m. and March 19 at 2 p.m.
