Dear Sun Spots: You provide a very helpful column. I read it everyday. I’m hoping some Lego Bionicle fans out there have instruction manuals that I can copy. I tried the Lego and Bionicle Web sites and they don’t provide the manuals I need. If anyone has the manuals for Tahnok Kal No. 8574 and Kohrak-Kal No. 8575 and also Makuta No. 8593 that I may borrow to copy, my grandson and I would be very appreciative. I will pay all shipping costs. You can contact me at 946-063 (leave message) or by e-mail at [email protected]. Thanks. – No Name, Greene.
Dear Sun Spots: To the person looking for homemade doughnuts:
I make them all the time. I am in the Farmington area if you would like a copy of the recipe, call me.
Also, I am looking for a pug to cross-stitch. I need a black pug. There is a lady I know who would like to have one made up of both brown and black, I have a brown pug pattern, but need the black.
In addition, if anyone out there has directions for snow globes made out of baby food jars, would you share it with us? I can be reached at (207) 778-2237 in the evenings. Thanks for the help and keep up the great work. – No Name, No Town.
Dear Sun Spots: A local nonprofit agency is looking for donations of hand drums and other percussion instruments to assist in the drumming for healing process.
“When people are surrounded by drumming vibrations, a phenomenon called entrainment takes place. The vibrations cause the cells and fragmented electrical impulses for the body’s nervous system to smooth out and line up with the rhythm. This is a state of mind where healing begins and a sense of well-being comes to the forefront.”
Please help us to help others by donating your instruments to:
Danielle Driscoll, program manager – Children’s Services, (207) 795-0672, ext. 124, c/o Support Solutions, 124 Canal St., Suite B, Lewiston, ME 04240. – Danielle Driscoll, Lewiston.
Dear Sun Spots: The new Lowe’s in Auburn carries most of the Johnson products. If they don’t have the Jubilee wax, they may have something else that works just as well. – Henry S. Currier, Portland.
