LEWISTON – Sonia Taylor, director of the Pentecostal Kids’ Church, The Jesus Party, has announced the continuation of a Bible-based video curriculum, “The Greatest Adventures: Stories from the Bible,” which teach life applications.

Area children 5 years and up are encouraged to attend the 6 p.m. gatherings. All Bible lessons will be held at headquarters, 291 Bates St. The schedule is as follows:

Friday, April 1: Children will take time to pray for victims of abuse, and will receive blue ribbon pins recognizing the month of April as National Child Abuse Awareness Month. The ministry will show the video “Queen Ester,” all in attendance will learn an invaluable lesson of this compelling triumph of good and bravery over evil and prejudice.

Friday, April 8: Christian youth worker and missionary to Africa, Christopher Cote of Pennsylvania, will visit the ministry for a special night of music and testimony. Children will view “Joshua and the Battle of Jericho,” with a lesson on overcoming obstacles, standing up to fears and stepping out in faith to obtain goals.

Friday, April 15: The story of “Jonah” will be used to illustrate that God’s compassion extends to more than just one group of people or denomination.

Friday, April 22: Children will see an animated adventure, “Samson and Delilah,” where love and deception teaches a lesson on how not to let mistakes or failures stand in the way of getting up and trying again.

Friday, April 29: The biblical account of “David and Goliath” will be shown, encouraging little people to accomplish big things
