PORTLAND – Arthur L. Hanrahan Sr., 79, of South Paris passed away on March 26, at Maine Medical Center in Portland.
He was born in Auburn, on Jan. 16, 1926, the son of George and Marie (Lamontagne) Hanrahan and attended local schools.
He worked as a laborer and woodsman for many years. He enjoyed going for long rides, playing cards, talking, joking, helping people and time spent with his fiance, Phyllis Austin.
He is survived by his daughter, Peggy Roberts of Hebron; stepdaughters, Nancy LaFramboise of Topsham and Sharon Cressey of Mechanic Falls; stepson, Henry Cressey Sr., of Auburn; 10 grandchildren; and two great-granddaughters.
He was predeceased by his parents; son, Arthur Hanrahan Jr.; sister, Pauline Croteau, and half brother, Alfred Hanrahan.
