LEWISTON – Jeanne P. Rodrigue, 70, a resident of 273 Meadowview, died Tuesday morning at Central Maine Medical Center following a brief illness.

She was born Jan. 6, 1935, the youngest child of Ernest and Arsilia Rodrigue. She attended local schools and was a graduate of Lewiston High School.

She resided in Hollywood, Fla., most of her life working in the hotel and restaurant business. She also lived in Las Vegas for a time.

In 1997, she moved back to Lewiston where she spent a number of years caring for elderly friends, especially her beloved sister, Ida. Some of her hobbies included shopping and sewing. As an accomplished seamstress, she created both clothing and upholstered furniture for many friends, relatives and clients. She spent most of each day “on the go” visiting with family and friends. She was also an avid horse racing fan.

Survivors include two sisters, Annette Falasco and husband, Sonny, of New York and Cecile Verrerault and her husband, Robert, of Lewiston; one brother, Henry Rodrigue and his wife, Yvette, of Lewiston; her god-daughter, Joline Caron of Lewiston; and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by one sister, Ida Caron; and three brothers, Emile, Rudolphe and Raymond.
