Bridgton – Wilbur Berry Kimball Sr., 79, of Bridgton, died Tuesday, March 29, at Bridgton.

He was born in Bridgton, on June 25, 1925, the son of George E. and Agnes M. (Berry) Kimball. He was educated in Bridgton schools and graduated from Bridgton High School. He married Ruth Davis on Sept. 12, 1948.

He was employed by Central Maine Power Co., for 57 years retiring as a line supervisor. He was a member of the A.F. and A.M. of Bridgton as well as a member of the Bridgton Fire Department. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and a great baseball fan; he had a great dry sense of humor and especially enjoyed his family, family gatherings, spending the holidays with his family and being around his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife of 38 years of Bridgton; two sons, Robert A. Kimball Sr., and his wife, Robin, and Wilbur B. Kimball Jr.; four daughters, Alletta M. Kimball, Linda C. Johnson, Julie M. Mowatt and her husband, Stephen, and Susan E. Rivet and her husband, Wayne; one sister, Frances H. Trumble; 15 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren, all of Bridgton.

He was predeceased by one brother, Robert C. Kimball in World War II; and one sister, Lois M. Kimball in 1990.
