FARMINGTON – The Farmington Downtown Business and Professional Association will host a send-off in appreciation for longtime downtown Farmington merchant Marty Pike from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. today at the Homestead Bakery. Friends and associates of Pike are welcome to attend to share a laugh and wish him the best as he embarks on a new venture.

Forums to consider mental health grant

LEWISTON – A series of forums on the 2005 Adult Mental Health block grant application and its implementation in Maine will be held throughout the state from 10 a.m. to noon Friday, April 1.

The forums will be held in Lewiston, Norway, Augusta, Portland, Presque Isle, Machias and Bangor by a state planning and advisory group.
