BANGOR – Lee Ann Womack will share the sounds of her new album, “There’s More Where That Came From,” with fans Wednesday, April 27, at the Bangor Auditorium. Joining her will be Joe Nichols and special guest Jeff Bates.
Unlike many Nashville country music superstars, Womack writes her own songs. In fact, she was a successful songwriter long before she became a chart-crossing diva. “There’s More Where That Came From” marks Womack’s return to more traditional country.
The Academy of Country Music named Joe Nichols its Top New Male Vocalist of 2003. Country Music Television named “Brokenheartsville” the year’s Breakthrough Video. Billboard Magazine tapped him as Top New Country Artist of 2002, with “The Impossible” certified as the No. 10 most played song of the year. Nichols was nominated for three Grammy Awards: Best Country Album, Best Country Male Vocal Performance and Best Country Song, for “The Impossible.” He also received the Country Music Association’s illustrious 2003 Horizon Award.
Bates’ songs have been recorded by many, including Gene Watson, who cut two of his songs – “Would It Be Cheating (If I Still Love The Girl You Used To Be)” and “The Man and Me and You;” and Tracy Lawrence who also cut “What A Memory,” which became a hot single.
Concert tickets are $38.50 each (plus venue charges). They are available at Ticketmaster locations. For tickets, call (207)775-3331 or online to www.ticketmaster.com.
