LEWISTON – John F. Grenier, 63, of 86 Maine Ave., Rumford, passed away on Thursday, March 31, at Central Maine Medical Center, with his loving niece by his side.

Born in Rumford on July 22, 1941, he was the son of Andrew and Eva Doucette Grenier. He was educated in local schools and was a resident of Lewiston and Auburn most of his life.

He was employed as a caregiver, taking care of children, which was his passion.

He loved listening to classical music, reading, going to lawn sales, and flea markets. He was a Big Brother to Dan and Steve.

He is survived by his sister, Linda and husband, Sonny Gestaut, of Byron; a niece, Christina Gestaut of Rumford; one nephew, Andrew Gestaut and his companion, Angela Rich, of Rumford Center.

He was predeceased by his parents.
