Dear Sun Spots: I have been showing my crafts, American Girl doll clothes, at local craft fairs for the past few years. This upcoming year I hope to expand my showings beyond the six or seven in my part of the state. Could you please list craft fairs in southern and western Maine as a well as contact persons to receive applications. Craft fairs at grammar schools are very good venues for my craft. Also, fairs in the Gorham and Conway areas of New Hampshire, if possible. Thank you in advance for any assistance you may provide. – Anne McKay, Dixfield.

Dear Sun Spots: Recently I lost my 3½-month-old granddaughter to SIDS. She was in my care at the time. I have joined a grieving and support group to help me get through this devastating period. I am looking to borrow or buy a book called “Grandparents Cry Twice” by Mary Lou Reed. The book is out of print now so no bookstore carries it. You can please contact me at (207) 539-4828 at Birds Nest Day Care. Thank you so much. – J. Perreault, Oxford.

Dear Sun Spots: A couple weeks ago, you mentioned a curtain/drapery outlet located somewhere in Maine. Could you please reprint that information? Or, if it’s available, something to help me look it up on the Sun Journal’s Web site, can you tell me when it was published? I’ve lost my copy with the name and location. Also, do they carry shower curtains as well? Thank you! Your column is immensely helpful! – Brenda, Minot.

Answer: The following was published in the March 12 column:

You need to contact The Curtain Factory Outlet (286-9261), at 345 North St. in Saco. To get there, take the Maine Turnpike to Exit 36 (formerly Exit 5). Then take the first exit (Industrial Park Road). Go left at the traffic lights. Take a right at the next light onto Route 112. The Curtain Factory Outlet is a quarter of a mile down on the right-hand side. It is open from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday and from noon to 5 p.m. Sundays.
