AUBURN – Eric Eddy of Auburn, the lead racer for the Bridgton Academy varsity ski team, has been awarded All-New England status by the New England Preparatory School Athletic Conference (NEPSAC). In the Class C Championships, held at Mt. Sunapee, N.H., the former Edward Little High School standout, finished fifth in the Giant Slalom and seventh in the Slalom.
Also recognized was Bridgton skier Patrick Small who finished eighth in the Slalom event.
While the championship was won by the Taft School of Watertown, Conn., the Bridgton Academy Wolverines finished a strong fifth in the field of 18.
Eddy was also recognized by the MAISAD (Maine Prep League) with a medal for being the fourth overall point leader during the winter race series.
The Bridgton Academy ski team members are guided by veteran coaches Peter Gately and Bill Bearce.
