LEWISTON – Almon E. Hood, 90, a resident of Roger Avenue, formerly of Whipple St., Lewiston, died Tuesday evening, April 5, at Marshwood Health Care Facility following a long illness.
He was born in Livermore Falls, April 9, 1914, the son of Elmer and Blanche Hood. He was an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II and was employed for 25 years for Lewiston Welding as a truck driver.
Survivors include two nephews, Gordon Timberlake of Falmouth and Ronald Timberlake of Sabattus; one niece, Dolena Brown of Richmond; and several other nieces and nephews.
