POLAND SPRING – Jean Malloy, 84, of Poland Spring, passed away in the arms of her beloved son, Tim, Tuesday, April 5, at her home, which she shared with her son Tim, Penny, Crystal and Shannon, where she resided for the past seven years.

She was born in Chisholm, on Sept. 18, 1920, the daughter of Joseph and Cora Dubreuil. On March 9, 1942, she married James F. Malloy, her husband of 51 years, who predeceased her in 1993.

She cherished the time she spent with her granddaughters, Crystal and Shannon, looking forward to their return home from school every day for them to share their day with her.

She is survived by her sons, Tim Malloy and his wife, Penny, of Poland Spring, John Malloy and his wife, Sherry, of Auburn and James Malloy and his wife, Peg, of West Bath; one daughter, Nancy Hansen and her husband, Mark, of Auburn; one brother, Paul and Cecile Dubreuil of Lewiston; sisters, Bea O’Clair of Lewiston and Jackie and Bernard Deshaies of Livermore Falls; several nieces and nephews; nine grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

The family wishes to thank the staff and friends at CMMC Pulmonary Rehab where they lovingly referred to her as Queen Jean, for all the love and care they gave her. Also Androscoggin Hospice for the compassion and care they showed her.
