WEST PARIS – Tyyne Johanna Kyllonen, 92, of West Paris died Tuesday, April 5, at Ledgeview Living Center.

She was born in West Paris, on May 24, 1912, the daughter of Anntti Arvi and Esteri Pulkkinen Heikkinen. She was valedictorian of Buckfield High School, Class of 1930. She attended evening high school, receiving her certificate in 1934 from Cambridge High School in Cambridge, Mass.

She married Eino Emil Kyllonen, on June 24, 1939, and had been a homemaker all of her life. Her husband passed away Sept. 24, 1995.

She is survived by a son, Walter E. Kyllonen and his wife, Sylvia, of York; and their children, Robert and his fiance, Wendy Varnum, and her children, Amanda and Emily, all of York and Kathy Clark and her husband, Gregg, of Barrington, N.H.; a daughter, Eileen Sawtelle and her husband, Peter, of Manchester, Mo., and their children, Debra Kaemmerer and her husband, John, and their children, Nathalie Elizabeth and Jaden Andrew, all of St. Charles, Mo., Peter Sawtelle Jr., of Manchester, Mo., and Dawnalyn Sawtelle of Manchester, Mo.; sisters, Hilja Morse and Eva Hilden, both of South Paris; a brother, Walter Heikkinen and his wife, Polly, of Paris Hill; and sisters-in-law, Eva Heikkinen, Ethel Heikkinen and Helen Heikkinen, all of South Paris.
