LEWISTON – Beverly J. O’Brien, 60, of Pine Ridge Road, Sabattus, died Thursday, April 7, at Central Maine Medical Center.

She was born in Lewiston, June 16, 1944, the daughter of Sterling T. and Viola M. Noyes McBride.

She was educated in local schools, and was married May 29, 1969 to Richard H. O’Brien.

She had been employed as a supervisor at Falcon Shoe Co.

She was a member of the South Monmouth Baptist Church and had a deep faith in God.

She was a special, caring, peacekeeping and loving person who will be sadly missed by all her friends and her 27 foster children, whom she cared for throughout the years. She enjoyed her grandchildren, camping and shopping.

She is survived by her husband of Sabattus; two daughters, Judy Beck of Mississippi, and Penney Robichaud and her husband, Perry, of Wales; four sons, Mark McBride and his wife, Vickie, of Greene, Donald Therrien and his wife, Amy, of Sabattus, Ricky Therrien and his wife, Lucy, of Sabattus, and Shawn O’Brien of Sabattus; a daughter-in-law, Denise O’Brien of Lewiston; 19 grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; a sister, Sandra Dunlop and her husband, Dexter, of Lewiston; and two brothers, Ronald McBride and his wife, Sandra, of Lisbon, and Michael McBride and his wife, Judy, of Sabattus.

She was predeceased by a son, Vincent O’Brien.
