LOWELL, Mass. (AP) – Brooks Laich scored with 3:33 left, as the Portland Pirates ended a nine-game winless streak with a 3-2 victory over the Lowell Lock Monsters.

The Lock Monsters, who had their three-game winning streak snapped, led 2-1 midway through the third period when Portland’s Graham Mink tied the game with a power-play goal at 10:24.

The Pirates took a 1-0 lead on a power-play goal by Boyd Gordon at 9:26 of the first period.

Lowell went ahead with a pair of third-period goals 50 seconds apart by Mike Zigomanis at 3:43 and Carsen Germyn at 4:33. Maxime Daigneault had 35 saves for Portland, and Cam Ward stopped 38 shots for Lowell.
