LEWISTON – Girls of the Andy Valley Gymnastics Team competed well at the Maine State Gymnastics Championships held last weekend at Westbrook.

In Level 7, Emily Dodge took fourth all-around, finishing second on vault and uneven bars, third on balance beam, and fifth on floor exercise.

Representing the Level 6 team were Margaret Mathy, Alanna Duncan, Sandy Ricardi, Dayle Jordan and Emily Marshall. In the 12-14 age group, Mathy placed fourth on vault, while Duncan took fifth on bars and sixth on beam and all-around. In the 7-11 age division, Marshall placed fourth on vault; Jordan fifth on vault and sixth on beam; and Ricardi sixth on bars.

Nichole Jones, Bethany Ray, Megan Bayles, Gabby Poulin, Sabrina Beck, Tiffany Levesque and Jessica Soucy represented the Level 5 team. In their respective age groups, Jones took top honors in bars and placed fifth all-around; Bayles and Levesque were both sixth on bars; and Soucy was second on beam and third on vault, bars, floor and all-around.

Representing the Level 4 team were Bethany Nyberg, Emma Pelletier, Gabriella Rojas, Karley Frey, Alanna Taylor and Haylee Duval. In 12-under, Nyberg won all-around, as well as vault, bars, beam and floor. In the 9-11 division, Pelletier finished third on bars and fourth on vault, while Rojas placed seventh on beam.
