April 23: Author Andrew Bennett will sign his book “Playing Bingo” from noon to 2 p.m. at the Book Burrow, 593 Center St., Auburn (next to Applebee’s).

May 17: Author Bill Benedetto will speak about his book “Sailing Into the Abyss,” and his research on the Merchant Marine’s role during the Vietnam War, at 6:30 p.m. at the Book Burrow. His book tells about the men aboard the SS Badger State, a U.S. Merchant Marine ship chartered by the Navy to carry bombs to Vietnam in 1969. Formerly of Livermore Falls, Benedetto now lives in Oregon.

June 4: Children’s author Lynne Plourde will read from her new book, “Dad, Aren’t You Glad?”, at 10 a.m. at the Book Burrow. Plourde is the author of the popular “Mother May I?” as well as many other children’s books.
