NORWAY – Arnold Willis Skillin, 91, went home to the Lord and his beloved “Fran,” Wednesday evening, April 14, at Norway Rehabilitation and Living Center with family at his side. He went peacefully following a lingering illness.

He was born in Windham, on Feb. 19, 1914, the son of Edward W. and Cora Isabelle Prince Skillin. He graduated from Norway High School in 1934.

On June 25, 1936, he married Frances P. McAllister, who predeceased him in 2001.

He had many accomplishments throughout his full and rich life. An accomplished pharmacist, accountant and church deacon, he retired from the finishing department at C.B. Cummings in 1977.

He was past treasurer of the Full Gospel Businessmen’s Association. Living and working in this area all of his life, he also did one-on-one ministry, group therapies and many shepherd responsibilities through the Advent Christian Church in Oxford and previously such functions associated with the Hosanna Church in Welchville.

A devoted family man, he loved all sports, especially college basketball. He loved all people and had a computer memory of people, places, events and all of their circumstances. He will be greatly missed by all. He had no enemies.

Surviving are two sons, Richard and his wife, Mary, of South Paris, and Vincent and his wife, Peggy, of Klamath Falls, Ore.; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and several nephews and nieces who were all special to him.

He was predeceased by his wife, Fran; two sisters, Edna Bartlett and Janet Lebroke Kennedy; a brother, Kenneth; and all brothers and sisters-in-law.
