AUBURN – Laura Pate netted 12 points and Lynne Whitney added 8 as Rec-Ing Crew defeated Young Ones 38-27 this week in the Auburn Rec Women’s Slowdown Basketball League. Missy Bilodeau led Young Ones with 13. Pauline Veinote was next with 8.

Old School turned back Shirl’s Girls 46-30 as Jessica Bechard scored 15 and Kati Morrell 9. Jen Robitaille paced Shirl’s Girls with 12. Elizabeth Hartford chipped in with 9.

Katie Morin poured in 18 points to lead Hoop Camp to a 38-28 victory over QP&S. Kim Clark added 6 points to the winning attack. Sue Swanson (9) and Courtney Hagner (7) led QP&S.

Adult tourney slated

AUBURN – The first annual Gymrat Jam Adult Basketball Tournament is scheduled for April 23-24 at Central Maine Community College. The tourney will start at 9 a.m. Saturday, and conclude on Sunday afternoon.

The double-elimination event is open to adult teams, players 18 or older. T-shirts will be awarded to members of the championship team. Each member of the All-Tournament Team will receive a long-sleeve T-shirt, and the Most Valuable Player will be awarded an MVP sweatshirt. There will be a concession stand available.
