AUBURN – Louise Anna (Poulin) Routhier, 80, formerly of 84 Bartlett St., Lewiston, died Friday morning April 15, at Clover Manor following a long chronic illness.

She was born in Beauceville, P.Q., on June 14, 1924, the daughter of Napoleon and Alexandrine (Begin) Poulin.

She received her education in local schools in Canada. She graduated from Ecole Normale, a school for teachers. She taught for 14 years in Canada before relocating to Lewiston with her family in 1959.

She was employed as a fancy stitcher in the local shoe industry until her retirement.

On Aug. 10, 1957, she married the late Andre W. Poulin in St. George, P.Q.

On Sept. 14, 1985, she married Ovide A. Routhier in Sabattus.

She enjoyed sewing, crocheting and knitting.

She is survived by her husband, Ovide Routhier, of Clover Manor; two daughters, Charlene (Poulin) Fraser and her husband, Tom, of Hampstead, N.H., and Mona (Poulin) Lavalliere and her husband, George, of Londonderry, N.H.; two grandchildren, Joseph and Julie Lavalliere of Londonderry, N.H.; two stepsons, Armand Routhier and his wife, Franoise, of Lewiston, and Arthur Routhier and his wife, Pearl, of Sabattus; one stepdaughter, Rita Nadeau and her husband, Conrad, of Winsor, P.Q.; and several step-grandchildren. She also leaves her two brothers, Andrea Poulin of Turner, Jean-Louis Poulin of Lewiston; and one sister, Evelyn (Poulin) Dupuis; and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her first husband, Andre W. Poulin; two brothers, Fabien and Eugene Poulin; and three sisters, Alice Gilbert, Juliette Dutil and Agathe Gilbert.
