OXFORD – The Lake Thompson Senior Citizens will meet at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 21, at the American Legion Hall on Route 121. There will be a ham dinner served at noon by Rock-O-Dundee Snowmobile Club. Each member should bring his own place sitting and something for a silent auction. This will help pay for the bus trip next summer.

OXFORD – Oxford Elementary School’s Pre-Kindergarten Club meetings have been scheduled for 6 to 7 p.m. Thursday, April 28, and 6 to 7 p.m. Thursday, May 19. Parents planning to enroll a child in the fall Oxford Elementary School kindergarten class may find out more about this program by calling the school at 539-4456.

AARP trip

PARIS – The Oxford Hills AARP, friends and families are participating in a day trip on Thursday, May 5, to the Cole Land Transportation Museum in Bangor. The group will have lunch at Miller’s Restaurant and head to Augusta for a guided tour of the Old Fort Western landmark and then return home.

The bus leaves the old Ames Plaza in Oxford at 7 a.m. and will be home at 6 p.m. Cost is $48 per person and that includes the Cyr bus, the two museums and lunch.

The Cabbage Island trip date has been changed to Aug. 25. The group is planning a trip to Lakewood Theater in Madison on Sept. 14.

FRYEBURG – Kindergarten registration for SAD 72 students must take place by the June 1 deadline. Students will be assigned to a school at that time.
