PORTLAND (AP) – Mike O’Keefe belted a two-run homer, David Murphy drove in two runs with a double and Jeremy West hit a pair of doubles as the Portland Sea Dogs beat the Binghamton Mets 5-4 Tuesday in the Eastern League.

Anderson Hernandez had a three-run homer for the Mets.

Portland (11-1) grabbed a 2-0 lead in the second inning when Murphy’s double to right-center field scored two runs.

Mike Jacobs doubled and scored as the Mets (7-6) made it 2-1 in the fourth.

O’Keefe’s drive over the right-center field fence was the big blow as the Sea Dogs tallied three runs in the fourth.

Hernandez’s homer cut the Mets deficit to one in the seventh. Portland starting pitcher Jon Lester (1-0) struck out six and gave up one earned run on two hits over five innings .
