CASTINE – Midshipman Carrie Plourde of Poland is serving as band company librarian of the Maine Maritime Academy Regiment of Midshipmen, a student-run leadership and management training model.

As librarian, Plourde is responsible for all the music and equipment that the band and Pipe and Drum Corps use. She also maintains a complete list of all the musical selections. She was elected for the position on the basis of academic performance, conduct and leadership.

Plourde is a member of the class of 2006. She is majoring in marine transportation operations.
