GARDINER – Johnson Hall will hold auditions for the murder-mystery play, “The Phantom of Johnson Hall,” at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 7. There will be one evening performance Saturday, June 11. All proceeds will be to benefit Johnson Hall.

The audience participation script was written by Eileen Moushey and produced by special arrangement with Mysteries by Moushey, Inc.

The seven character parts include Clinton Slade, the producer, who attempts to appease the artistic force and genius impresario Marco Virelli; Marco’s sister Theresa; his wife Alexis; his boorish brother-in-law, Timmy Marshall; the ingenue, Maria, who is young, eager, and innocent; and the Phantom of Johnson Hall, who is mysterious, gracefully athletic and dramatic.

Cold readings from the script will be done at auditions. This production will be directed by Lucy Rioux. FMI: 582-5717; www.johnsonhall.org.
