BETHEL – Matt Stone had two hits, including a two-run double to lead Gould to a 5-3 victory over Bridgton. Carl Olsen went the distance, giving up just two hits and struck out seven to pick up the win for Gould (3-2).

Bridgton’s Greg Leary hit a two-run single in the fourth. Lucas Rand struck out 12 for Bridgton (5-10-1).

Poland 8, Fryeburg 6

FRYEBURG – Tyler Merchant went 3-for-4 with two RBIs to lead Poland to a 8-6 victory over Fryeburg.

Joe Douglas and Jeremy Callahan chipped in for the Knights (1-0) with two hits apiece, while starter Will Griffith picked up the win.

Ryan Wallace and J.D. Hill both posted a pair of hits to lead the Raiders (0-1).
