DOVER, N.H. (AP) – A Dover, N.H., woman kidnapped at knifepoint was found Thursday evening with her alleged abductor in Norwell, Mass., police said.

The woman, Patricia Adams, 51, was not injured, Police Chief William Fenniman said.

Richard Ridlon, 46, of Rochester, N.H., was held by Norwell police as a fugitive on several charges, including possession of drugs and violation of a protective order as well as unspecified Massachusetts warrants, Fenniman said.

Police said Adams was kidnapped Thursday morning. Police said at the time they believed Adams was in extreme danger and asked for the public’s help in locating her.

Officers already had a warrant out for Ridlon because he did not show up for trial two weeks ago in Dover District Court on charges that he violated a court order that he stay away from Adams. She was granted a protective order after telling a judge Ridlon had threatened her.

Dover Captain Anthony Colarusso said Adams was kidnapped from the home of a friend with whom she was staying. He said Ridlon assaulted the friend and took Adams away.

Police said Ridlon’s car was spotted by Norwell police in a parking lot and he was with Adams.
