LEWISTON – The Lewiston School Department will hold kindergarten registration and screening during the first week of May. A child must be 5 years old by Oct. 15 to enter school in the fall. Parents need to call the child’s school for an appointment. The dates are as follows:

Monday, May 2, Pettingill School, 795-4160.

Monday, May 2, Farwell School, 795-4110.

Tuesday, May 3, Longley School, 795-4120.

Thursday, May 5, McMahon School, 795-4140.

Thursday, May 5, Martel School, 795-4130.

Friday, May 6, Montello School, 795-4150.

The child will need to accompany parents for screening. The school asks parents to bring the child’s medical and developmental information, as well as the birth certificate from the city or town where they were born (not the hospital) and immunization records from the doctor.
