LEWISTON – Laura M. Caron, 65, a resident of Blake Street Towers, died Sunday, April 24, at her home, after a period of failing health.

She was born in Van Buren, July 27, 1939, the daughter of Oneil and Simone (Violette) Plourde. She was employed for many years at Montello Manor Health Care Facility.

She loved both crocheting and reading, as well as jigsaw puzzles with friends. She was a member of Saints Peter and Paul Church.

Survivors include one daughter, Anita Caron of Lisbon; two brothers, Roger and his wife, Constance Plourde, of Lewiston and Hebert Plourde of Lisbon; and one sister, Ann Plourde of Lewiston.

She was predeceased by one son, David Caron in 1983.
