AUBURN – The second annual silent auction to benefit the Auburn Public Library will begin at 9 a.m. Monday, May 9, and run through noon Friday, May 20.
The theme is “A Celebration of Local Craftsmanship.” Twenty-one handmade items, donated by talented local artisans, are being auctioned during the two-week period.
The materials used to create the donated items are wood, iron and fabric. There are also original paintings and photographs available for auction along with several items geared specifically for children.
The proceeds from the auction will be used to enhance the library’s collections and programs.
All of the items are available for viewing on the APL Web site at www.auburnpubliclibrary.org. The public is invited to visit the library, currently in temporary quarters at the Auburn Mall, to view and bid on the items, all of which are one-of-a-kind. The library is open Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. as well as Monday and Thursday until 8 p.m.
