SOUTH PARIS – Myra Mae Ripley, 88, of South Paris, died Wednesday, April 27.

She was born in North Windham on June 15, 1916, the daughter of Warren and Annie (Page) Cannell.

She was an avid reader and gardener, loved to watch birds, and was a jealous Elvis fan.

She owned and operated with her son, Ralph, the Ripley’s Market in Norway for 13 years.

Myra’s family was her life and she is survived by one son, Ralph and his wife, Bonnie, of South Paris; three daughters, Carol Spizuoco and her husband, Patsy, of Cumberland, Donna Williams of Delaware, and Roberta Messenger and her husband, Guy, of Farmington; one brother, William Cannell of Johnstown, N.Y.; one daughter-in-law, Marge Ripley of Norway; 14 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband, Ralph Ripley Sr., in 1961; one son, Robert, in 2002; one grandson, Michael Ripley; two brothers, Warren and Arthur; and one sister, Agnes.
