LEWISTON – The Lewiston Rec Men’s Softball League is slated to begin a new season next week.

The National League will start Tuesday, May 10 with 8 clubs. Following are entries and managers: Gipper’s, Jeff Daniels; Poland Spring, Mike Brochu; Ducharme Masonry, Andy Frenette; BT Pallet, Heath Crocker; Carlton Club, Pat Laplante; Buddyz Construction, Rod Plourde; Sabine Production, Keith Sabine; Le National, Keith West. Tuesday’s opening slate (6:00): Carlton Club vs Buddyz, Upper Franklin; Ducharme vs Le National, Randall-1; BT Pallet vs Sabine, Randall-2; Poland Spring vs Gipper’s, Randall-3.

The American League also has 8 teams, as follows: La Outcast, Joe Bailey; Ducharme Masonry B, Robie Ducharme; Scott Thayer Auto, Grant Sperry; Hart Transportation, Chad Lupick; Fast Breaks, Ernie Hamel; Mockler Construction, Al Mockler; SW, Sam Wilson; SOCHS, Chris Howe. Wednesday’s opening schedule (6:00): Fast Breaks vs Mockler, Upper Franklin; Scott Thayer vs SOCHS, Randall-1; Hart vs SW, Randall-2; Ducharme B vs La Outcast, Randall-3.

Tourney planned

BATH – Cases and Cartons is planning the sixth annual Benefit Softball Tournament, June 24-26. Proceeds will benefit the Cancer Foundation. Eligible are C, D and E teams. Entry fee is $150.
