OAKLAND – Randi Arsenault recorded the complete game win as Oxford Hills handed Messalonskee its first loss of the season, 8-4, in KVAC softball action on Friday.

Eagles (6-1) pitcher Chelsea Barker singled in the sixth inning to tie up the game at 4-4.

Natasha Dubois opened the top of the seventh for the Vikings (6-2) with a walk, and an Arsenault bunt sacrificed Dubois to second before Lauren Austin hit a deep double for the tiebreaker.

Three batters later and with the bases loaded, Annie Foster smashed a three-run double to knock the wind out of the Eagles and capture the victory.

Monmouth 10, Livermore Falls 0

LIVERMORE FALLS – Trista Morin smacked a pair of doubles as Monmouth (5-1) glided off with a 10-0 victory over Livermore Falls (2-6) in a softball game on Friday.

Morin punched out a two-run double with the bases loaded in the fifth inning as the Mustangs erupted with six runs.

Livermore Falls pitcher Danielle Gray (2-4) struck out 12 batters, but the Andies’ offense was silent thanks to Monmouth pitcher Jill Armstrong, who had nine strikeouts.

Telstar 17, Winthrop 0

WINTHROP – Jessie Farrington pitched a five-inning perfect game to lead Telstar to a 17-0 win over Winthrop in a softball game on Friday.

Farrington struck out five and had two hits for the Rebels (5-1). Kayla Mills had three hits and two RBIs while Jillian Kimball and Liz Rosenberg also drove in a pair.

Nicki Emery allowed eight hits for the Ramblers (0-5).

The Rebels scored four runs in the first inning and added two more in the second and third. Telstar finished things off with nine runs in the fifth.

Mt. Abram 13, Dirigo 0

SALEM – Mt. Abram scored 12 runs in the first inning, which was highlighted by a two-run double by Logahn Walker that scored Morgan Cummings and Brittany York, as Mt. Abram demolished Dirigo 13-0 in a softball game on Friday

Sadie White had two hits, including a double for the Roadrunners (5-2). Katie Walker pitched four innings with three strikeouts to pick up her fifth win of the season.

Waterville 4, Leavitt 3

TURNER – Alisha Champagne had two hits, including a double, and scored to lead Waterville to a 4-3 victory over Leavitt in a softball game on Friday.

Kelsey Gagnon hit an RBI single in the third that scored Champagne for the Panthers (1-6).

For Leavitt (3-5), it was catcher Melissa Chadborn who singled in Heidi Swett for the team’s only RBI.

Jay 8, Mountain Valley 0

JAY – Bree Loon pitched a perfect game with 13 strikeouts to lead Jay to an 8-0 victory over Mountain Valley in a MVC softball matchup on Friday.

Desiree Castonguay had two hits and two RBIs for the Tigers, while Brittany Frailey also had two hits. Jay remains undefeated at (7-0).

Lisbon 13, Boothbay 2

LISBON FALLS – Soleil Mathieu had three hits and drove in three runs to lead Lisbon to a 13-2 win over Boothbay in softball on Friday.

Jen Hogan had two hits and two RBIs, while Kelly Campbell and Emily Moore also drove in two runs apiece. Nichole Williams had two hits for Boothbay (1-4). Hogan walked none and struck out three and got plenty of run support early. The Greyhounds (5-3) scored five runs in the first three innings before breaking the game open with three in the fourth and four in the sixth.

Lawrence 3, Lewiston 0

FAIRFIELD – Kiera Walsh pitched a complete-game three-hitter with one walk and eight strikeouts to lead Lawrence to a 3-0 win over Lewiston in softball on Friday.

Lawrence scored all of there runs in the bottom of the sixth when Heather Gilman singled in Mallory Blakney, then the next batter Teraysa White knocked in Kasey Mcphail. Lewiston left the bases loaded in the fifth and stranded eight base runners in the game.

Gardiner 6, EL 3

GARDINER – Courtney Allen scattered three single runs across seven innings of work on the mound to lead Gardiner to a 6-3 win over Edward Little in softball action on Friday.

Amanda Cray and Michelle Kozma had a pair of hits apiece for the Tigers (2-6).

The Red Eddies (2-5) were led by repeat hitters Katie Dargie and Kendra Butcher, who also scored twice in the losing effort.

Poland 10, G-NG 3

POLAND – Mallory Huskins had two RBIs to lead Poland to a 10-3 victory over Gray-New Gloucester in softball action on Friday.

Ami Charette belted an RBI double for the Knights (5-2). Biranna Pratt went the distance to earn her second victory of the season. Ali Olmstead had two hits, including a double for G-NG (1-6).

Camden 4, Oak Hill 3

WALES – Pitcher Miranda Kelly hit a sacrifice fly to plate Allyson Ettinger in the top of the seventh inning for the run which held up in Camden’s 4-3 win over Oak Hill in KVAC softball action on Friday.

Ettinger singled and stole two bases for the Windjammers (3-4) to lead off the seventh inning before Kelly’s sac fly.

Mae Nadeau tried to initiate a come-from-behind rally in the final frame for the Raiders (1-5) with a two-out triple to close a three-run deficit to one, but things fizzled quickly and Oak Hill succumbed.

Lacrosse

Morse 15, Oxford Hills 10

SOUTH PARIS – Sarah Bryant netted four goals to carry Morse to a 15-10 victory over Oxford Hills in girls’ lacrosse action on Friday.

Venessa Brook, Steph Suggs and Abby Miller each scored three for Morse (5-0). For Oxford Hills(2-4), Amy Mckeen scored four goals and Brianna Thompson had three.
