GREENE – Robert F. Coady, 76, passed away Friday May 6, at his home on Allen Pond Road, Greene.

Born in Lewiston, on Jan. 11, 1929, he was the son of John and Verna Wheeler Coady.

He was a graduate of Bliss College, was an accountant for Central Maine Power Company for many years, and was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

He was a member of the Greene Planning and Appeals Board, Greene Budget Committee, Greene’s Fireman’s Benevolent Fund Committee, the Androscoggin County Budget Committee, the Turner Highland Golf Club, and was a Winthrop Little League Baseball coach for many years, and was active in the bowling league in Augusta and Winthrop.

He is survived by his mother; his wife, Carolyn Harriman Coady of Greene; two sons, Robert and wife, Caren Coady, of Mesa, Ariz., and Thomas Coady of Bridgton; one daughter, Judy Coady of Wiscasset; one brother, John and wife, Irene Coady, of Auburn; one sister, Mary and husband, Richard Wallace, of Boothbay Harbor; one sister-in-law, Marlene Coady; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; four stepchildren, Charles Manchester of South Paris, John and wife, Sue Manchester, of South Paris, Chip Manchester of Mechanic Falls, Katy and husband, Chris Cilley, of Greene; and five stepgrandchildren.

He was predeceased by his father, and one brother, Bernard Coady.
