FARMINGTON – Annette Libby, 76, a nine-year resident of the Pierce House, Farmington, died late Monday evening, May 9, at Franklin Memorial Hospital in Farmington.

She was born May 1, 1929, in Chesterville, a daughter of Arthur and Bessie Collins Decker Sr. She received her education in local schools and married Roscoe Libby Sr., on April 4, 1953. They later divorced.

She was employed at Forster Manufacturing Inc., for 35 years. She enjoyed playing cards, bowling, crossword puzzles, going for rides and going out to eat. She was fond of her family and was an avid reader of the Franklin Journal.

She is survived by five children, Mavis Doble and her husband, Richard, of Augusta, Roscoe Libby Jr., and his wife, Marilee, of Strong, John Libby and his companion, Lorraine Campbell, of Farmington, Alan Libby and his wife, Renda, of Livermore, and Cecil Libby and his fiancee, Joline Phair, of Wilton; one brother, Orland Decker of Farmington; 18 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by an infant son, Eric Libby; brothers, Carroll Decker Sr., Elgin, Alfond, Arthur Jr., Cyrus and Ellsworth; a sister, Luzena; and a daughter-in-law Janet Libby.
