PORTLAND – Music Director Toshiyuki Shimada will lead the Portland Symphony Orchestra in a concert benefiting the Cancer Community Center at 7:30 p.m. May 17 at Merrill Auditorium. The center provides support services to people living with cancer and their family members and friends, at no charge and with no referral requirements.
The concert will feature favorite orchestral works and three vocal selections.
Tickets are $52, $42, $32, $27 and $17. Tickets may be purchased at the PortTix box office; by calling PortTix at (207) 842-0800; or online at www.porttix.com. Merrill is at 20 Myrtle St.
